Malang

Malang is a cool, green university city in the hills of East Java, and it has a small but active yoga community. Its studios are concentrated around the Ijen and Kawi area in Klojen, with others in Sukun and Blimbing, offering hatha, vinyasa, Ashtanga, yin and prenatal classes at some of the lowest prices on the site.

Classes are taught mainly in Bahasa Indonesia, though teachers are generally happy to help English speakers. Most studios take bookings by WhatsApp or an online timetable, and a single class usually costs around Rp 65,000 to Rp 75,000.
