Anahata Yoga Tay Ho is a small studio at 80a Xom Chua in Tay Ho, the West Lake neighbourhood where many of Hanoi's expats live. The single practice room is bright and quiet, with light wooden floors, cork mats, bolsters and floor cushions, and the studio leans towards slower, restorative practice rather than workout-style classes. Mats and towels are provided and there is free parking.
The timetable usually has two or three 60-minute classes a day: a 9am morning class on weekdays, an after-work class at 6.30pm, and late-morning and early-afternoon sessions at weekends. Expect Yoga Foundation, Hatha and Hatha with breathwork, Vinyasa flow, hip and shoulder mobility, strength and flexibility, Yin with gong or crystal bowls, Restorative Yoga and dedicated sound meditation and sound bath sessions. Class names and booking are in English, and the core teachers are local and RYT-200 or RYT-500 trained.
A single session costs 300,000 VND and must be used within seven days. A 10-class card is 2,600,000 VND (60 days), and monthly, three-month, six-month and annual cards are available for regulars. Book through the studio's Vibefam page, where the live timetable is posted, and check it before you go, as the class mix changes from week to week.
Prices and timetables change. Check with the studio before you go.
