One Yoga is a Yoga Alliance-registered school in Srithanu, on Koh Phangan's west coast, best known for its teacher trainings – it has certified more than 2,000 teachers. Alongside the courses it runs a weekly programme of drop-in classes in its Ocean Shala, a long, airy hall with windows looking out to sea.
From Monday to Saturday the day starts with Hatha (or Pranayama on Fridays) at 7:30am, followed by yoga philosophy, sound healing or yoga nidra around midday, and an afternoon Hatha, Vinyasa or Yin class at 4pm. A silent meditation in the Sky Shala at 7pm is free. Classes suit beginners and visitors who want a structured, traditional practice.
No registration is needed – pay at reception before class. A single class is ฿400, a ten-class pass ฿3,000 (valid two months), and a full day with two meals ฿1,800. One Yoga also has a studio in Bangkok.
Prices and timetables change. Check with the studio before you go.
