Yoga Story occupies the second floor of a restored pre-war shophouse at 71A Amoy Street in the CBD, about four minutes' walk from both Telok Ayer and Tanjong Pagar MRT and five from Maxwell. The single studio has timber floors and tall shuttered windows over the street, and classes are kept deliberately small so teachers can give hands-on alignment cues.
The timetable is grouped into "Align", "Flow" and "Therapy" classes. Align covers Yoga Basics, Hatha, Iyengar and prop-heavy Chair Yoga; Flow is breath-led vinyasa that suits people with some experience; Therapy includes Yin, Yin-Yang, Restorative, Yoga Therapy, a women's wellness class and sound healing with crystal bowls. There are also handstand and mobility sessions and occasional full-moon sound bath events. Beginners are best starting with Basics or Hatha.
A drop-in class is S$40, and first-timers can buy three classes for S$49 to use within a month (five classes in two months is S$79). Class packs run from five to 50 classes, including shareable packs. Book through the website or the Mindbody app. Mats and props are provided, and the studio is open roughly 7am–9pm on weekdays and 8am–2pm at weekends.
Prices and timetables change. Check with the studio before you go.
