Studio Alur (‘alur’ means flow in Indonesian) is a modern concrete-and-glass building on a quiet residential lane in Kavling Jeruk Purut, Cilandak Timur, a short drive south of Kemang. The main shala has room for about 30 practitioners and is lit by a wall of glass. The building is arranged around a small pool courtyard and also has a café, a garden seating area and shower rooms.
It was founded by three practitioners, Amelia Dianty, Zara Zita and Nacitta Kanyandara. The weekly timetable includes Beginner Vinyasa Flow, All Levels Vinyasa Flow in 60- and 75-minute versions, and Intermediate Power Vinyasa. Slower classes include Yin & Singing Bowl, Yin & Reiki and Sound Healing Meditation, and there is prenatal yoga. The studio also lists Hatha and Ashtanga among its styles. Its Zero Gravity series of weekend workshops covers headstands, pincha and handstands.
Casa Indonesia lists classes from Rp 130,000 and opening hours of 5.30am to 9pm daily. The timetable is published weekly, and you book and pay through the studio’s Rezerv page.
