Power of Now Oasis

Power of Now Oasis has run yoga on the beach in Sanur since 2010, from a bamboo shala and garden shala on Jalan Retro Beach in Sanur Kauh, at the quiet southern end of Sanur's beachfront. It describes itself as a non-commercial centre that supports a local foundation and its Balinese staff.

There are four classes a day, every day, all open to every level with modifications offered. The timetable covers hatha, hatha flow, vinyasa, power vinyasa, Iyengar-influenced classes, yin and restorative, plus meditation; first-timers are advised to start with hatha. The centre is a Yoga Alliance-accredited school running 27-day, 200-hour teacher trainings with a maximum of 20 students, as well as tailored health and Ayurvedic retreats.

Drop-ins need no reservation: arrive 20 to 30 minutes before class, and earlier at weekends. A single class costs Rp 140,000, a 5-class card Rp 650,000 and a 10-class card Rp 1,200,000 (cards valid three months), or Rp 2,000,000 for a month unlimited. Indonesian citizens and KITAS holders get discounts. Opening hours are 7:30am to 6:30pm daily.
