Alchemy Yoga & Meditation Center – Ubud

The Alchemy Yoga and Meditation Center (AYMC) sits on Jalan Penestanan Kelod, close to the Alchemy restaurant in Ubud. Its striking bamboo shalas were built with the architecture firm Ibuku, and the centre keeps a permaculture food forest that supplies the restaurant.

The teaching draws on traditional hatha and non-dual Shaiva tantra, presented for modern practitioners. Public classes are themed around the elements (Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Ether), alongside Krama, yin, restorative and power-style sessions, plus a large meditation programme, ecstatic dance, full-moon celebrations and sound events. Most classes are open to all levels. AYMC is a Yoga Alliance-registered school running 200- and 300-hour teacher trainings and shorter immersions.

Class passes work at both the Ubud and Uluwatu centres. A 5-class pass costs Rp 650,000 and lasts 14 days; 10 classes are Rp 1,200,000; a 30-day unlimited pass is Rp 2,000,000. Single drop-ins and discounted KITAS and local rates are also sold. See the online schedule for times.
